- We would like to show appreciation for the business of the month every month.
- 1. If you as a business (or businesses together) sponsor the membership meeting, then you will be chosen as Business of the Month.
- 2. Your business will be recognized in the Ark Valley News, on our website, and on our FaceBook page.
- 3. You will receive a certificate and a poster (traveling poster) that you can display in your place of business indicating that you are the Business of the Month for that month.

- We had our first (of many) Spring Fling.
- 16 barbeque teams
- The team from Bentonville, Arkansas won
- 9 chili teams
- Three teams from Iowa and Nebraska participated.
- Chamber chili cook-off
- The Animal League, teamed with Prairie Song Design, won the chili cook-off
- 2 Dutch oven teams
- We had our 6th annual Golf Tournament at Sand Creek Station in Newton.

- We had our 50th Annual Fall Festival!
- Expenses totaled: $22,032.49
- Utilities: $1,241.35
- Insurance: $1,715.00
- Entertainment (fireworks and band): $10,259.76
- We started the VCCC scholarship fund.
- Non-profit organizations volunteer for specific times during Fall Fest (and any event). The chamber then donates money to their group/organization based upon hours worked.
- Trick or Treat Street
- We had over 650 kids participate in this year’s trick or treat street.
- We ended the year with 114 members.
- Our 2011 board members were: Trisha Schmidt, Casey Carlson, Mike Porter, Tonia Sturm, Lisa Vermillion, Sid Unruh, Keith Hodges, Susan Long, and Craig Baldwin.
